Company Overview

Pak Elevator is a professional company that specializes in designing, making, selling, installing, and maintaining elevators. As a well-known brand in Pakistan, Pak Elevator uses the latest technology to improve the movement of people and goods. The company provides solutions that ensure smooth, safe, and efficient movement in our growing cities

Our Journey

Our journey began in 1976 when the late Ismail Mandra, my grandfather, founded KUTCHI COMPANY. As the business grew and became more involved with the community, it was rebranded as MANDRA BROTHERS. In 1996, my father, Mr. Suleman Mandra, took over the business with a renewed vision, launching CARGO TOUCH, a company focused exclusively on the lifting and installation of overhead cranes.

In 2004, we made our entrance into the elevator industry through a partnership. After the partnership concluded, the elevator business continued to thrive under the name Pakistan Elevator. Today, Pakistan Elevator operates with two main divisions: one specializing in access solutions and the other in lifting services. Our legacy is built on decades of experience, constant innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Global Partnerships for Quality :

What sets us apart is our strong collaboration with renowned manufacturers from Japan, Italy, Turkey, and China. This ensures that our elevator products and services adhere to the highest quality and innovation standards. Whether you’re in need of a specific elevator type or top-quality components, we are your ultimate destination for all your elevator requirements in Pakistan.

Type of Elevators

1. Geared Traction Elevators

Geared traction elevators use AC electric motors connected to a gearbox. The gearbox drives a sheave that moves the steel hoist ropes, which in turn lift and lower the elevator car. These systems are ideal for applications with speeds up to 4 m/s and travel heights of up to 90 meters, making them suitable for both basement and overhead traction configurations. We offer geared machines from renowned manufacturers including AKIS, EKER, GEM, NBSL, and TOP GEAR, sourced from Italy, Turkey, and China.

2. Gearless Traction Elevators

Gearless traction elevators use a low-speed, high-torque electric motor where the drive sheave is mounted directly to the motor shaft—eliminating the need for a gearbox. These elevators can achieve speeds of up to 2 m/s and travel heights of up to 150 meters. A brake is mounted between the motor and sheave to securely hold the elevator at a floor; this is typically a spring-actuated, electrically released drum-type brake. We provide gearless solutions from Turkey (AKIS, EKER), Italy (GEM), and China (NBSL, MONA DRIVE, TORIN).

3. MRL (Machine Room-Less)

Traction Elevators Traditionally, elevators require a dedicated machine room for motors, hydraulic pumps, and control systems. MRL elevators eliminate this need by integrating most components within the hoistway itself. A compact controller cabinet is placed nearby, allowing the system to function efficiently without a full machine room. MRL elevators are space-saving, energy-efficient, and ideal for buildings where structural or design limitations prevent the inclusion of a machine room.

Elevator Technology

Elevator is a marvel of engineering that has transformed the way we navigate and utilize multi-story buildings. It is a vertical transportation device designed to move people, goods, or both, between different levels of a structure efficiently and safely. Elevators play a pivotal role in modern urban life, making it possible to maximize the use of space and create towering structures that define skylines across the globe.

Key Components:

  1. Cab/Carriage: The enclosed space where passengers or cargo are transported vertically. Elevator cabs come in various sizes and designs, catering to different architectural and functional needs.
  2. Counterweight: A balancing component that counteracts the weight of the cab and its occupants. This ensures a more energy-efficient operation by reducing the power required to move the elevator.
  3. Hoist Mechanism: The system responsible for lifting and lowering the elevator cab. It typically consists of an electric motor, a system of pulleys or gears, and a sturdy cable or chain.
  4. Guide Rails: Vertical or inclined rails that guide the elevator cab, ensuring a smooth and precise movement between floors.
  5. Control System: The brain of the elevator, managing the starting, stopping, and speed of the cab. Modern elevators often feature advanced control systems for optimal efficiency and passenger safety.
